The genome sequence of a tachinid fly, Thecocarcelia acutangulata (Macquart, 1850)

Falk Steven and Njogu John

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Thecocarcelia acutangulata (a tachinid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Tachinidae). The genome sequence is 693 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into six chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the assembled X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 20.1 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 24,909 protein coding genes.
