Diagenode launches innovative solution for small RNA-sequencing compatible with MGI’s DNBSEQ™ sequencers.

Diagenode, a leading global provider for complete solutions for sample preparation and epigenetics research, has launched a new small RNA-sequencing solution, D-Plex Small RNA DNBSEQ™ Kit , optimized and specifically formatted for MGI’s DNBSEQ sequencers.

Under the terms of a non-exclusive agreement signed earlier this year, the two companies collaborated to make Diagenode’s innovative D-Plex technology available on MGI’s platforms in a joint effort to promote solutions for advanced epigenetic discoveries.

The new D-Plex Small RNA DNBSEQ Kit is based on an innovative tailing and template switching technology, which delivers a ligation-free method for RNA library preparation from extremely low input amounts, down to 10 pg for small RNA. This technology also enables diverse and novel transcripts detection, ensuring realistic representation of the small non-coding RNA transcriptome and avoiding biased miRNA enrichment as with ligation methods. In addition, the new solution has been extensively validated for liquid biopsy, such as from human plasma, making it an important tool for clinically-relevant studies.
